Pool Liners

Pool Blend No.4

Easily the most difficult decision for any pool designer is what to use to line the pool tank. When choosing a tile to line a pool, there are numerous factors to consider to ensure the perfect finish and ambiance. The colour and material of the tiles are important because there are so many things that can change how colour reads through water.

Glazed Stoneware and Porcelain: These are popular choices due to their durability and variety of designs.

Glass: Glass tiles offer a luxurious, vibrant look as they reflect light beautifully, enhancing the water’s sparkle.

Light Colours: Whites, light blues, and creams create a refreshing, clean appearance and make the water look crystal clear. They can also help the pool appear larger.

Dark Colours: Deep blues, greens, and even black can give the pool a dramatic, elegant look, making the water appear deeper.

Mosaic: These can add artistic flair and visual interest. Mosaic patterns can also help to create thematic designs, such as tropical, oceanic, or geometric patterns.

The way sunlight interacts with the water and tiles can drastically alter the perceived colour. For instance, blue tiles can range from bright sky blue to deep ocean blue depending on the lighting and depth of the pool.

Finally grout colour can complement or contrast the tile colour. Light grout can make the pool look brighter, while dark grout can highlight the tile pattern.
