Quarterly Round Up

Seeing as it’s the end of the quarter we thought we’d take a look at some of the highlights so far. It’s only March and what a year we’ve had already! In January we went to the ever-inspiring Maison Objet where fringes, rattan and yellow dominated the scene. One of our favourite things we saw were Ginger and Jagger’s fantastically funky fringe chair and corresponding pouf. The pair screamed of the roaring 20’s and we couldn’t help but think how good they’d look in a contemporary living space!

February was far from lackluster starting with our interview with the Chelsea Design Quarter unveiling more on the esteemed design collective. We’ll be speaking at their Springtime Sessions event on Wednesday 25th so keep the date free in your diary! Then to top off the month we delved into the fascinating finds from Houzz’s annual bathroom trends report. We found out that most people are choosing to stay put and reinvest in their existing homes, along with grey being the colour of choice and that good old porcelain tiles still rank as the most popular flooring finish. Strangely, one fact that had us particularly surprised was that under 25’s were twice as likely to opt for a traditional style than their over 65 counterparts!

Finally we entered March in kaleidoscopic style with Amelia Carter holding her vibrant pop-up shop in our King’s Road showroom. Everything from colourful monkey candle holders to 5 foot flamingos were on show and we were thrilled to have Amelia choose our showroom for the event. We also sat down for an interview with Amelia to learn more about her and the design practice, discovering what inspired her to become an interior designer and her plans for the near future.

2018 has been so much fun already and we can’t wait to show you what we’ve got in store for the rest of the year. Stay tuned!
