Finwell House

Architect: ORMS

Location: London

This project completed in the summer of 2012 included the redevelopment of the existing building including refurbishment, part demolition, new extension to the front of the building and top floors, new external cladding and fitting out to Cat A office specification including services.

Reed Harris supplied honed 997x997x12mm Selari Stone in colour GR113 for the reception tiling. ORMS, the architects, specified a large format tile which minimised the number of grout joints and greatly enhanced the light airy feel of the double height reception space. The reception walls were finished by the renowned UK artist, David Tremlett who used hand drawn pastels to create a bold striking design.

In the toilet areas Reed Harris’ Stoneworks range was installed throughout for wall and floor tiling. These strong non-absorbent porcelain tiles are ideal for this commercial office location, the range also includes a mosaic which was used extensively for wall cladding to change the aesthetic and create a more interesting detail.
